Our favorite short from last year, D.E.B.S.,
was made into a feature length film that will kick off Reeling
with a rollicking good time. A take-off on sexy spy films,
The D.E.B.S. are a group of secret agents that are recruited
based on their aptitude for lying, cheating, and killing! Trained
to kick-box, carry guns, and run after guys in high heels,
our four young heroines have the deadly assignment of protecting
our country from acts of international terrorism.
Closing Night Film - Straight-Jacket
Thursday, November 11th, at the Landmark Century Centre Cinema
In this 1950's style set-in-Hollywood Technicolor dream of a film,
America's heartthrob movie star Guy Stone's just-barely-concealed
homosexuality is about to become headlines unless he marries a
beard in the form of an unsuspecting studio head's secretary. Choosing
between being honest to himself and preserving his big opportunity to play Ben
Hur is an easy decision for the super-superficial Guy, that is until he
meets his own heartthrob, a socially-conscious writer with both a heart and a
soul.
