The schoolboys in these shorts are learning lessons the hard way. With love, violence and regret, these alternating sweet and dark works are passionate portrayals of adolescence. Using fantasy and voyeurism, these shorts explore young relationships and youthful hearts. To Hold A Heart (Michael Wallin, US, 2005): Two men separated by decades of age and miles of culture find themselves in a not so coincidental encounter at the gym. Could this be love? Boy’s Grammar (Dean Francis, Australia, 2005): Gareth, a student at an exclusive boys’ school learns that his feelings can be validated and expressed only through violence. Summer (Hong Khaom, UK, 2006): Upon learning that if you catch a falling leaf one wish will be granted, two 16 year old boys go out to the woods finding that some wishes are worth fighting for. SpaceBoy (Keith Dando, UK, 2005): A young boy’s fantasy comes true when an astronaut’s spaceship crashes in the woods. Dark Room (Ronen Amar, Israel, 2005): How far will a college student go to stay in the closet? Two Nights (Rolmar Baldonado, Australia, 2006): A young man is faced with choosing between lovers; one he wants and the other that wants him. Davy and Stu (Soman Chainini, US, 2006): A nightly ritual brings two boys together in a swampy Scotland bog. Cabalerno (Jarrah Gurrie, US, 2006): An awkward guy, coming to terms with his sexuality, gets busted pointing his video camera at his strapping young skateboarding crush. Du Meme Sang (Arnault Labaronne, France, 2004): A closeted gay man watches in horror as his brother’s gang gay bashes his lover. Video, Total: 94 min.
