Reeling 2006: The 25th Chicago Lesbian and Gay International Film Festival
and The Institute for the Study of Women and Gender in the Arts and Media
invite you to attend a panel presentation on Feminism and Gender Identity
taking place on Saturday, November 4th at 3:30 PM in the reception area
adjoining Film Row Cinema (1104 South Wabash of Columbia College). Following
matinee screenings of FtF: Female to Femme and Boy I Am, two documentaries
by talented young directors, these films explore gender identity, feminism
and the contentious discussion about trans and femme identities in respect
to feminism and Queerness. Directors Sam Feder (Boy I Am), Kami Chisholm
(FtF: Female to Femme) and Chicago video artist Amber Swanson (Videos from
the Feminism? Project) will be on the panel to lead the discussion. Please
